Faeit 212: Warhammer 40k News and Rumors. 1) 'Calth That Was' (Graham McNeill) novella which links Remus Ventanus to the 40k Ultramarines continuity, along with Maloq Kartho before he becomes a daemon prince. As you can see there is loads!! I've been told that this is probably one of the best and most entertaining sequences of books in the entire Warhammer 40,000 universe. Something like the Horus Heresy is always going to be expanded on. Horus Rising is the first novel in the Horus Heresy series; detailing one of the most well known acts of betrayal in science fiction history. I dont say every BL writer is awesome and every novel/sourcebook is according to my thinking 40K universe. Novels HORUS RISING - DAN ABNETT FALSE GODS - GRAHAM McNEILL . Dipped into the book again, LOVED IT, remembered that Mr. 41st millennium the Imperium of Man knows war, and only war. Themes it centres on (chiefly about being more about the wolves as a legion than keeping up with the whole HH series). The other was the opening chapter in The Horus Heresy sequence, Horus Rising. What continues to amaze me about Mr Abnett is the breadth of his writing ability – whether it is a Horus Heresy novel, a Gaunt's Ghosts novel, a Warhammer fantasy novel, or something entirely of his own creation (e.g., Triumff): the most consistent trait is that it is always of extremely high quality. Personally I'm most looking forward to Betrayer, Nightfall, Unremembered Empire, and the unnamed White Scars novel, but also lots mote besides. Dan Abnett does a wonderful job of introducing the world of Warhammer 40k to those that have never experienced it's wonders, while keeping the interest of those more experienced with Warhammer lore. I just recently read the 'original trilogy' of novels - Horus Rising, False Gods, and Galaxy in Flames - and they were ok as far as pulpy science fantasy goes. Abnett has written titles such as 'horus rising' and 'legion', then realized how amazingly awesome he is. Each of his Horus He also has a tendency to expand the Warhammer 40,000 lexicon, adding ever-more phraseology that will be used in many future novels by other authors.
